Get Off the Grid Fest would like to welcome Verner Center for Early Learning to the children’s area!
Verner Center for Early Learning fosters wholistic learning environments where young children and families thrive. With four locations throughout Buncombe County, Verner support children and families during “the first 2,000 days.” Did you know that 90% of brain development takes place during a child’s first 2,000 days? Did you know that only 1 in 3 children in Buncombe County has access to high-quality early learning opportunities? Verner Center for Early Learning partners with families to provide high-quality early learning, family support, health and nutrition education and professional development for teachers and support staff. All children need access to affordable high-quality early education. When children play in early learning centers they thrive and their families are more stable. Verner Early Learning Center will be presenting about the importance of play, adventure play, child initiated activities and the impact on children’s development along with Buncombe Partnership for Children’s Asheville Adventure Play project https://buncombepfc.org/ and will be hosting a pop-up on at least Saturday in the kids area.
